Committee of cars and its services discussed a number of challenges facing
the sector, including: cars authorized to stop for each rental office, and insurance
to leasing companies.
The
Head of Roads Department in the Eastern Province, Abdullatif Al Saleem who
recently hosted a meeting of the Committee in the Management Committee headed
by the deputy of the Committee Yousef Al Nasser said that only two cars are authorized with the sufficiency
position and one for all branches in the vicinity of the same city.
Regarding
the insurance he said in the meeting, which was accompanied by the head of the
Safety Division and Inspection management of roads in the region Hassan Al Amari
that insurance is different between the companies in the age groups. Some
companies do not cover insurance of the vehicle below the age of 25 years and
some of the other insurance does not cover the under-21-year-old.
Also
explained that the transportation companies and taxis number started to rise in
the local market and are subjected to the control system by the Kingdom like
the taxi companies.
On
the other hand, the Committee reviewed the results of the visit of His
Excellency the Secretary of the Eastern Region Engineer Fahd Al Jubeir about the renewal of permits for cars showrooms
in King Fahd road in Dammam and infrastructure areas and workshops and cars showrooms,
as His Excellency promised to renew showrooms permits that apply the municipal
systems.
